Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information: your email address and display name, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).

Profile information: your profile photo, bio, and any social links you add.

Precise location: while you browse the map or go online as a streamer we use your device's GPS to place you on the map and show nearby streams. Location is used only while the app is in the foreground — Telepov does not track your location in the background.

User content: messages you send, and the audio/video of a broadcast, which is relayed live to viewers. Live media is transmitted through our streaming provider (Agora) and is not stored by us unless recording is explicitly enabled.

Payments: purchases of credits and your wallet balance and transaction history. Purchases are processed by the App Store / Google Play; we do not receive your card details.

Streamer identity verification (KYC): to go live and earn, streamers complete identity verification through our provider Didit, which may include a government-issued ID and a selfie. This is sensitive information and is used only to verify identity and meet legal/payout requirements.

Usage and device data: basic analytics about how the app is used, plus device identifiers needed to operate the service.

2. How we use your information

To provide the service: show the live map, connect viewers to streamers, deliver messages, and process credits and payouts.

For safety and moderation: to review reports, enforce our rules, and remove content or accounts that violate them.

For identity and eligibility: to verify streamers (KYC) and confirm you meet the 17+ age requirement.

To improve and secure Telepov, and to communicate with you about your account.

3. How we share information

Service providers who process data on our behalf: Agora (live audio/video relay), Didit (identity verification), our payment/app-store partners, hosting and analytics providers.

Other users: your display name, photo, approximate location as a streamer, and content you choose to broadcast or send are visible to other users of the service.

Legal reasons: when required by law, to protect users' safety, or to enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising tracking.

4. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → account deletion). On deletion we remove or anonymize your personal information, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, and financial-record purposes.

You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK), you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and store credentials and sensitive verification data using industry-standard protections. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Telepov is intended for users aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under this age; if you believe a minor has used Telepov, contact us and we will act.

8. International transfers

Telepov is operated from the United States and works with providers in different countries. Where we transfer data internationally we take steps to protect it consistent with this policy and applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; we will post the new version here and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
